Can't We All Get Along Pt 2

Fiona gives Tadarius a look that could curdle milk and clearly says 'hurt her and I'll kill you', then she turns to smile at Teq, "I need to get back to that transmitter. If Fenrith's look is any indicator, he put his all into this one, so I guess we'll see. Arolaeth's a strong queen, she'll make a good clutch." She jerks a quick nod to Mahlia, "Good luck with your dragonhealing, Mahl. I'll see you around." Then she turns and makes an easy retreat back to her hut.

Mahlia chuckles a little bit, calling out to Tad "How's them photo's going? Y'gotta let em know ta smile fer the pictures 'stead of snapping mid gape. 'less you're going for the candid look, all the better though! I ne'er takin photos, so who m'I to talk?" Reaching for her black book she nods to Teq "H'tor, got it.. lets shoot for a sevenday or so n'I'll try ta set a meeting with Thea n'eventually Syra, when.. well y'know." Her eyes widen as the conversation turns to the eggs "Eesh I didn't see the last clutch.. little and dark, how very strange." A few more ideas are pondered before a few more notes are jotted down. "Bye Fiona!" she says with a wave "Thanks!" eyebrow raised.

Tadarius regards Fiona as she leaves, proud, despite her grumpiness. He clicks a snap of that too. Her walking away? Why not. It'll be good for the ego to use later on her. As for Mahlia, as she remarks of his photo taking he shrugs, "Just got this one working… maybe. I can't tell if the chemical stains are working just right yet, the optics still might need some readjusting. I guess you could say then, candid pictures are better, since it would be such a shame if the good ones didn't turn out." He regards Mahlia's trio and smiles, "Two more huh? That must keep you really busy."
les, she thinks that with herbs, soaks, salves and teas she can enhance the connection for m[Eastern Weyr] Hil sent off an email but will have to get the boy to get the phone number and keep calling til he can get through.

Tequoia stares at Fio and then she quirks a smile and shakes her head a little "I can take care of myself, sides. Shi would protect me too." She sighs dreamily and then she nods "Okay, don't let Loki run off with anymore tools, and I do hope it's a big clutch. One that we can be proud of." She says brightly and then she looks longingly at the book as Mahlia takes it back. Oh well. "Sounds good and I do hope I can go. I've only ever gotten to go to Fort once and that's when my brother dragged me along with because I was in his care and he had to go over there for some," A long pause. "Expert consultation." Read into he was meeting a lady friend on the side of a job. She then tilts her head a little at Tadarius "Chemical stains? What kind of chemicals? Does it use anything like mordants and what kind of colors does it do?"

Tad becomes studious of Tequoia and her run away questions and talk. "Do you remember to breathe in between all that talking…" he smiles as if to make it off as a joke, since that is what people do, right? As for the answer, "The film is treated with a light sensitive chemical…the actual chemicals itself would take me a long time to explain to use exactly how we extract it and bond it to the film. -If- you are interested in that much, there are cross-crafting options… Such as I cross-craft with the weavers from time to time, in attempts to help them 'capture' their fashion shows or fashions with a model. As far as the photos and how they turn out, it depends on what film and chemicals used. Black and white is the easiest to produce. Otherwise we have sepia… a rich brown tone. As of yet, we are still not able to produce colour photos. It is not the easiest technology to work with, there is little history left about how it all works." A thoughtful glance down at the camera, then back to Tequoia, "What's this of a clutch?" Oooh, he is the astute one, isn't he.

There's a bit of a snerk "If I didn't breathe, I wouldn't be still standing here. Would I?" There is a thoughtful look at cross crafting "That would be interesting, though I don't think I'd want to be taking pictures of the models, but I do wonder though. Think a camera could be used to produce a picture on fabric? I think that would be pretty nifty and then embroidery to accent points on it." And before she starts to dream of other particulars she blinks "Clutch? Did you miss the flight? Or the fact that poor Fenrith has still yet to recover? Or the reason why the Weyrwoman /and/ the Weyrleader are in the infirmary? Arolaeth flew, and she flew pretty far too. Fio is likely right that this'll be a good clutch." She bites her lower lip a little "I do hope there's a gold though. Arolaeth is getting really old. She may not have another flight in her, and if we're left without a queen, there's talk into just leaving us as a Weyrhold and not even bringing in a gold from another Weyr."

Mahlia chuckles "Models and clutches, Tadarius you never cease to surprise me! Didn't realize you knew so much about photography.. shoulda been there to catch the flight!" A few more notes are jotted and the books is slapped to a close before being handed back to Tequoia with a nudge. "No worries there eh? Between you me n' the Dragonhealers, maybe this clutch will be one they talk about for turns. Eastern will be jus' fine, J'em n' Syra will keep it all t'gether m'sure. I've complete faith..all positivity!" She beams as the two hatchlings start to nip at eac hother playfully, flapping around before Dhoan haphazardly flutters Tadarius's way "Eesh, yeah, handful that's for sure! M'goin through heardbest like it's the 1st Pass." They all perk at the word, feeding time! Mahlia reaches for a few pieces of meatroll, handing some to Tad as Dhoan peers up at him with swirling eyes from the floor below.

Tad gives her a slight smirk for her come back, leaving it at that as the topic swings to cross crafting. For the idea of the picture being capable of transferring to a piece of fabric, his eyes brighten slightly. Lightbulb goes off in his head. His hand actually goes to cup his chin and scrub, a thoughtful lift of his brow, a squint of an eye. "It isn't impossible, but it would be just a matter of finding the right way to infuse the photo as it's being produced in the dark rooms to a piece of paper with the right ink, which when wet can … transfer to the fabric. You'd still have to embroider the lines…but you could get a good pattern applied to it, I'd think." The matter is not dropped, in fact, he digs around in his satchel and pulls out a small notebook, digging around and clattering things together as he pulls out a pencil. Jotting down the notepad, he grins at Teq, "Not a bad idea. Not bad. Putting it into practice will take some time…" And here he was just trying to get a smaller version of a camera working and now to up the ante and get photos transferred to fabric. A twinkle in his eye suggests he's up for the challenge. The clutch, the matter of the flight, is all but forgotten until she brings it up. He ohs quietly at it, murmuring, "Being a Weyrhold wouldn't be that bad. Though I imagine the traditionalists of the Weyr would be upset to let it get to that state." A beat, "You don't believe another gold from another Weyr would welcome the opportunity to become Weyrwoman, say if, the current Weyrwoman had to step down?" An eye for Mahlia lands him a handful of meat for Dhoan. He looks to the meatroll then down at the firelizard, "I suppose it would be ok… He is impressed to you already…" As if he was afraid to have one of those creatures to depend on him for food! He lowers down toward the firelizard and outstretches his hand, "That's got to be adding up. At least you live in a Weyr. Could you imagine being a holder and having to care for firelizards? I'm sure it would cost a pretty mark or two, to get by. I suppose that is why most of 'em let them go wild or make sure they hunt on their own." He peers down into the view-seer of the camera as he aims it toward the firelizard, lining it up and then popping the wind crank down, hoping to get a picture of the brown feasting.

Tequoia listens as Tad goes on about the possibilities of being able to pictures on fabric. She's actually quite silent as she listens, though she does seem quite pleased about him liking the idea. "So it's really possible." she says with an awed voice. So what if it's not actually designed yet. It will be. Someday. Maybe. And oh look, there's the book back. "You don't mind if I make a copy of this?" she asks Mahlia as she nods "I'm sure it will. I want it to be fine." Yes, she likes her adoptive home. "And well, I dunno if another wouldn't mind or not. I just know that's what some of the riders were saying, so I dunno if there's any truth in their words."
At the perfect moment Dhoan, with his rum brown snout, snaps gently at the offering, with outstretched wings and lifted paw *pose* He croons, gobbles down the offering and chitters to Tadarius as his clutchsiblings also feast. Mahlia laughs a little with a crinkle of her nose "I'unno Tad, that'd be quite a change fer Eastern.. not very welcomed I'd assume.. s'not gonna happen though! All energy towards a beautiful queenie hatchling" is said with a bubbly cheer. "N'if ya guys figure out 'ow ta print on fabric I'd love to partake in some of your goods!" The last few pieces of meat are nibbled away and Dhoan waddles back towards his pet, climbing up to her shoulder clumsily. She nods at Teq and the book , full of lineage, clutch and herbalry notes with drawings, pathways, anatomical diagrams "Feel free, n'I got some hides with records from Syra, mebee we review before heading to Xanadu?"

Tad looks over his shoulder toward Mahlia's enthusiasm for the hatching, "You figure there's going to be one? You sound excited about it." He does smile at the brown as he stands up, giving the firelizard a last pat on the head before he does a few more things with his camera. Then, there's a backwards hand sweep of the sweat on his brow, giving an exhaled 'phew' at the heat. The book between them is regarded quietly, trade secret that he isn't going to ask about. Instead, he does comment further on the aspect of the Weyr turning into a Weyrhold, "I don't believe it would be a bad thing. Weyrholds are often a bit more free reigned, as you could say. Look at Ierne, the economy there is great. Thriving well. Very diverse." He considers, "It's almost better than a Weyr, because the WeyrLord is voted in by the majority." As for the shirts and the photos being transferred to them, he nods, "I'll let you know if I ever get it to work right. I imagine I'll be needing the weavercraft to lend me a lot of scrap material to test it out on."

Tequoia starts plotting and looking thoughtful "Well, bolts of apprentice weavings are usually a lot cheaper, though I do have one bolt I can let you have. It's one of my first ones and there's not a lot of good usable sections for sewing with, but I think it would work for a practice canvas. I just hadn't gotten around to getting rid of it, thinking I might be able to do something with it." She shrugs a little "I dunno. I think it'd be just weird, but then I've never been to Ierne and so only know about through teachings and other people." She browses back again through the book.

Mahlia hrrmss with a poignant fervor, raising one brow at Tad as Dhoan croons to him in thanks and goes back to nipping at his greenie sis who rams in to him. Mahlia shrugs, smiling at Tadarius and Teq "I'dunno, wouldn't be a bad thing.. n'Ierne's a great place, spent a few turns there where I started this dragonhealing business. Maybe we get clearance ta'go there too?" is said to Tequoia before mention of the clutch arises again "I try not ta' figure, n'just go with my instincts, n'keep m'fingers crossed fer a goldlet! If we all do the same, relieve the tension about, m'sure it'd work to our advantage. Finding cool projects is a great outlet.. n'learning through teachings s'as good as research. Like I said I got a whole stack of info at m'hut you're welcome ta go through. Hit the computer lab at Fort and brought home a whole folder of reviewed research articles 'bout dragons, so there's plenty needs reading!"

"If you're willing to part with your first project and willing to let it go into the trash afterward, likely because I'll fail hundreds of times before I succeed, then I imagine I could use it." Tadarius offers as he slides his notebook back into his satchel, regarding the two of them before looking back up toward the sky. "Ah, I should get back to the workshop. I'm expected back to help design an electric sliding door… or some other fantastical thing…" He looks back and forth then smirks, "And to bug Fiona of course." With that he's shuffling his feet off into the direction of the crafters cavern and out of the sun.

Tequoia watches as Tad heads off and then tilts her head and murmurs to Mahlia "Think they'll kill each other or maybe fall in love?" she then grins "Though she seems to fancy Ur'con even if she doesn't want to do anything about it." she notes and then ooo's "I'd love to go through them. That'd be great fun."

Mahlia gives a similar tilt of the head as the paparazzi leaves before snickering as eyes widen "I think yer on ta something there! Hopefully the latter, we could all use some love in our lives. Speaking of.. how's your sweet friend?” She questions, and adds “Who knows with Fi though, or any of us really eh?" reflecting on her own romantic complications "If ya want we could check some of em out now? Maybe grab a few and head to the Commons for a beverage? The day is winding down quickly" she notes with a little shiver.

Tequoia hmms and nods "Yeah, who knows. But Shi is good, he brought something he found out in the jungle, it was a rock that had brightly colored animal hair and a feather attached to it. Was pretty interesting and yeah, lets take some of the documents with us and get a bite to eat as well. I'm glad that it's getting late, least the heats not quite so bad.”

Mahlia sighs a little after taking a deep breath at the mention of thermal relief "Ahh yes, gotta love Eastern heat.. better than the snow storm over at Fort!" A wobble of the head, securing of the shoulder trio and gathering of belongings happens and she grins "Unique, gifts like that are the best.. ahh love." Her tone is airy and slightly solemn "Grub, sounds good. Shall we?" She motions towards the weyr and heads out "I'll grab the ones I found the most interesting on the way."
look

Mahlia quickly made her way to the Caverns, stopping by her hut and grabbing the top 10, an assortment of genetic, clutching and herblary with a smattering of archaic 'folklore.' A plate of food, mostly meat and veggies is put together with a mug of klah and she is heading for a large table. The day has faded, heat and humidity subsiding to a fair weathered evening. The area is bustling with liveliness, excitement from the recent happenings around the Weyr, the atmosphere is rich. Mahlia takes a seat and pulls up a couple chairs before taking a few bites and setting the stack of papers on the table.

Tequoia follows in shortly after Mahlia, she'd gotten waylaid briefly by Arania and now is in the caverns this fine evening and heading to go get some fruit. Certainly not much is on her dinner plate. No wonder she's so short? "So what have you brought?" she asks as she slides in next to Mahloa

Sira wanders in, looking a bit like she just woke up, despite the hour. There's a lazy little smile on her face as she makes her way towards the serving tables, pouring herself a mug full of klah. A few quick sips help take the edge off her sleepiness. That done, she blinks and looks out over the group present, noticing the familiar face of Mahlia for the first time. She smiles and takes a couple steps over, waving. "Hey there."

Mahlia pushes three articles towards Tequoia, each of which have been highlighted and jotted on with Mahlia's own elaborations of the work. "The first one's herbalry, saponin root, lanolin and comfrey analysis on easing the mind, which eases the connection. Second one is the genetic info, a cross comparison about inbreeding. Seems if it started with just five and made it this far, that's not the issue. The last one is, well… kind of obscure practices, churning the sands with compresses and fomentations." She hears a familiar voice that she hasn't heard in awhile, turning on heel, with a smile she waves "Sira! Long time… good to see you this umm.. morning?" rolls out with a wink and chuckle.

Tequoia blinks a little "Starting with just five?" she asks and frowns "But the harper taught us that there were eighteen of them, and I thought there were more than five golds?" she frowns a little as she peers at the pages. She looks up briefly at the new voice, but it's not someone she is familiar with so she gives a little nod and goes back to reading as Mahlia greets her. "I know inbreeding isn't an issue. Fenrith and Arolaeth are clutch mates and I've known fathers to fly their daughters and no problems."

Sira helps herself to a seat by the pair, grinning. "Morning. Is that what it is here? Just came over on a dragon, the time zone shift makes it tricky to keep track. I always get so thrown off." She downs more of the klah as she tilts her chair back, getting settled. "But you're right, it has been too long. I was hoping I'd get the chance to see you! You still seein' that boy?" She may not know Tequoia, but she picks up on enough of that conversation to get a little shiver. "That's… disturbing. I guess given that there's such a smaller dragon population than human, that sorta thing is inevitable. But it just sounds wrong. Ugh. You some kinda… recordkeeper? Keeping geneaologies or somesuch?"

Mahlia nods "The five colors and their respective lineages of cross breeding the first few clutches. Who knows what the late Kitty Ping and the Erdanis were up to? The inbreeding article has some interesting ideas about the bond between the mating dragons, their riders and the weyr, not a complete loss of writing." Jungle green, gold flecked snow globes in her orbitals glisten towards Sira, though there is a melancholy tonation to her response "Mm Morez" she nods slowly "We are still seein' eachother indeed.. still so new ta all this umm, stuff, n'didn't realize 'ow complicated it gets. Good ta see ya 'round 'ere though!" She smiles blushing "Wouldn't say m'a record keeper, just gettin' back in to Dragonhealin, well trying to. Me n' Teq 'ere are gonna do what we can to help the dragon healers make this clutch perfect!" She sends her /new partner/ a smirk and the trio chortles to her.

Seeley comes a creepin'. Yes, the techie sneaks in for foods. With a toss of his head, he shakes his bangs from his eyes and accosts the food table, piling a plate with everything from meat buns to fingerroots. Tasty. Grabbing a mug of klah, he sneaks around and hunts for a seat to steal.

Tequoia blinks a little and then ohs and blushes "Oh, the colors." she shakes her head a little as she continues to go through the pages. She does look past the mention of boys and gives a sigh and looks around for Shilan. She does miss him when he's not around. Movement at the food tables catches her attention but alas, it's not Shi. Then back to Sira "Oh yeah, not a record keeper outside of apprentice duties. I'm a weaver by craft, but I've been helpin' out H'tor who is a dragonhealer and then I found out Mahlia has been studying and well.."

"Ah. Dragonhealers. That'd make sense why you're lookin' into that." Sira responds with a nod of her head, taking another swig of klah. "Well then, nice to meet you, Teq. Never knew anybody who did dragonhealing and weaving before. Girl of many talents, apparently." She laughs a little before smiling back at Mahlia. "Well, good for you. He seemed like a nice sort of fellow. I'm very glad to have run into you, at least. You gonna have any free time later?"

Mahlia notices the dark haired young gent creeping off to the side, with a raised brow she tilts her head towards him, seeing if her approaches one of the empty chairs at their table. Warm smile remains on her face as she hands Teq a few more articles and toasts her direction "Aye, a lass of many trades! You'll be interested in that top one there, 'bout the clothing, n'particles that get stuck in certain weaves. Suggests only cotton and leather for riders, and all linens to be washed with Fuller's Earth" Another sip of klah and the insatiable trio creel for the meat remnants on Mahlia's plate. Bagheera nibbles and finds her way back to cloaked hiding spot in her pet's hair while the other two survey the room. An uneasy laugh is stifled by her mug before she says "He is a nice fellow.. n'I should have some time after our dinner research session 'ere."

Seeley steps up near Tequoia and waves his mug a bit, "Might I have a seat here?" he asks, not neccesarily flipping his hand in a rather silly gesture, but the thought is behind the wave of his klah, yes.

Tequoia look up at Seeley and she almost twitches a bit. She purses her lips and then shrugs. Well, since Shi isn't here. "I suppose you can Seeley." she hmmphs a little. She's likely never gonna be sure about the boy who hits on her boy. Pages are browsed through. "WEll, leather for sure, Better at keeping the cold of between and the high air out. Though I've known a number to have fleece lining their jackets.' she says with a bit of a frown. "Though that's not woven either." she shrugs a little and then grins at Sira "Well, I like knowing things. I wish there was more time in the day. Just met this one journeyman and he's going to see about putting pictures from a what was it?" …. "Oh, a camera on it. Though it won't be n color, but you can embroider it."

Sira grins a little brighter at that last statement of Mahlia's. "Well, good! We should hang out. I've never been to Eastern before. It'll be fun to see the sights. Assuming you didn't have other plans, of course?" Then something Tequoia says catches her attention. "Well, I could help with that. M'name's Sira, I'm a Journeyman Techcrafter. Cameras are actually my specialty. There's actually a procedure we're working on to do color. A bit pricier to get the materials, but I feel the results are well worth it." She looks up at Seeley and smiles in a friendly manner. "It's a public cavern, isn't it? C'mon, join the party.”

Mahlia nods to Seely as the last bits from her plate are consumed by boisterous twin hatchlings and indifferently disenchanted blue, who is chittering to them with calming commands. "Seeley, eh? M'names Mahlia, well met! Please join us, we've plenty of room at our table." Introductions aside, she is back to business "That's for sure Teq, good call, regulation of the environment is very important, and that's what this last article is about. T'rgel an expert xenobiologist wrote this one. I've sent a letter his way, asking if he would come to Eastern, enjoy a warm vacation from the frigid North n'share some ideas he has about our environment n'what we can do to make it the most hospitable." Her ears perk as Sira brings up the topic of the evening "Ahh color cameras too, 'tween that and printing on fabric a whole new textile world is unfolding. I didn't know you were interested in such thing, you must meet Tadarius some day 'es always foolin with cameras. Did ya bring one with ya? I can show the best of Eastern!

Seeley settles into the seat and begins to eat… daintily though, not at all like most of the boys his age. He turns his attentions to the conversation at hand and peers at Teq innocently, "Cameras? Awesome." he simply listens, not giving away all his secrets year. He eyes Tequoia again, "Awww, you're not still sore about that thing with your boy, are ya? I never meant anything by it, really…. Just complimenting his pretty face…." he grins irritatingly.

Tequoia head tilts a little at Sira "Really? He said it wasn't quite feasible yet." she then smirks a little that maybe he'd be proven wrong. "Course, to hear Fiona he's not a very competent journeyman." she notes with a smirk "So maybe that's proof then." Again her attention goes back to the documents and Seeley is just sort of sniffed at. "Fine, you didn't mean anything by hitting on my boyfriend." Creeper. She does look over at him "Have you found someone else to moon over?" As if she's one to talk about mooning.

Mahlia leans back with a bellowing chuckle as her curls cascade past chairback, a few more sips of klah before passing off the mug for wineskin at her hip. "Oh love triangles, weyr life.. guess it starts young when you're not sheltered like I was!" Her hand slaps down on bent knee and she leans in "Photography project, of course. I'd be glad to show you around.. as for Tadarius and Fiona" chuckles continue "I'm an unbiased median! Though I do know I'd watch it with Shi if I were you Seeley" she teases, running a hand through her spiral locks.

Seeley continues to eat his meal, his hands steady as they move from dishes to mouth and back and forth. He nods to Tequoia, "Of course, of course!" Now there's that cheerful flippy-wave of hand, totally not something he thinks about. He offers a semi-gleeful grin to Sira and shakes his head, "Nah, a love line, because Teq here, she hates my guts. Poor little gay boy me." Cue a heartfelt pouty-face here. Then, an almost joyful grin. "Mmmm, full color video." Melt, now you know he's a Techie. He grins to Mahlia and shrugs, "He informed me quite clearly that he was 'flattered, but in a great relationship.' Tequoia has nothing to worry about!" Insert flippy hand thing here again.

Tequoia rolls her eyes. "Oh please." she snorts. "I don't hate your guts." Maybe just want to wrap them around his neck a few times. There's a glance at Sira and she mumbles "Nothing to talk about. Nothing happened." A glance at Seeley "And nothing. Ever. Will." There's a glare that speaks of many levels of death. She clears her throat a little and then she smiles. She didn't just threaten anyone. Really.

Sira beams at Mahlia again. "You missed out! Relationship drama is one of my favorite things about weyr postings. It's all so romantic. Not to mention just deliciously entertaining." Tequoia's denials only appear to intrigue her more. "Ooh! Forbidden love. Scandal upon scandal. Who knows what kinds of things go on behind closed doors?" She laughs merrily, knocking back more klah. "Great, we'll have a tour lately and I'll show you my work. Maybe you can even help me with my project."

Mahlia makes the surprised face at Sira as she dishes gossiping insinuations and with a giggle-snort she says "Oh c'mon Sira, s'not a scandal at during the teen-turns. There jus figuring it out, kinda like I am. Dunno if my parents did me a favor or cursed me by keeping me in the vineyards and distracted from all of Benden's umm free flowing red-wine livin'! Suppose it's all the better.. we figure it out in our own time. M'sure hate is an overstatement y'know.. n'yer pretty adorable with that wrist thing ya'got goin on Seeley" Another sip of red is taken, then held out for any takers. "Teq 'ere knows what she likes, 'nuthin wrong with being a lil protective, ya?"

Tequoia now rolls her eyes at Sira "There ain't no scandal." A look at Seeley "There ain't gonna be a scandal either." She then snorts "As for behind closed doors, ain't nothin' goin on that ain't proper." Hmmph. She crosses her arms and actually sulks a little at the poking. Her cheeks are red and she gives a glare Seeley's way. All his fault anyways. Right?

Sira will gladly accept the wineskin offered by Mahlia, giving her a grateful smile before downing a good bit. "Ah, wine and klah. What better way to start the day?" She asks with a little laughter. "Awww, it's all in good fun. The way I see it, if you're not doing anything scandalous, you're doing it wrong. Life's about adventure! Excitement! Breaking boundaries! Why not push the limits?!”

Mahlia is complete laughter "Oh Sira, great influence for the youngin's! Though nothing wrong with some klah and Benden to get ya right." Her tummy grumbles a little, even though they ate recently, and her hands move to ease the sound. "I've got a good idea for the start of the tour, how bout we stop by Tarrin's bakery? Makes the best pastries this side of Pern." She stands, with squawks from the trio, before reaching towards Sira, and questioning them both "Shall we? I could always leave those articles with ya Teq, if you'd rather review em a bit more before we meet with H'tor and Thea?"

Tequoia has her nose stuck back in the documents "I'd love it if you left them." she notes. She's attempting to ignore Sira and her 'suggestions' after muttering something about Master killing her. No, she'll be good and stick to her kisses. "Tarrin's got good fritters." she notes.

Sira beams proudly. "I'm a great influence on the youngin's! I teach them to explore and adventure. What, are you saying I haven't taught you anything good?" She asks with a smirk. The suggestion earns more grinning. "Ooh, pastries. Now that sounds like a great way to start a tour." When Mahlia reaches for her she reaches back, taking the other woman's hand and getting to her feet.

Mahlia smiles at Tequoia with a nod "Understandable, they're all yours n'lets meet up tomorrow to chat more. Hopefully by then we've caught Syra and H'tor, with possibilities of being pardoned from at least one day's assignments for a convoy to Xanadu. We'll work on Ierne next!" A hand reaches out to briefly brush Teq's shoulder "N'make all the notes ya' want" /The book/ is placed on the table by her "I'll pick it up tomorrow… as for you Sira" she snickers and pulls Sira to her feet, linking arm around her waist once she is standing. "M'not really a youngin anymore now am I? Off to pastries we go.. see ya soon Tequoia!" She waves and leads the way.
