It's Probably a Squirrel Having a Really Bad Hairday Xtzaltuth

Dragon Description

Rugged and jagged, constructs of colors stand straight up from the core as spots of champagne shades dapple this large dragon's hide. The hazy bronzed undertones are antiqued, puppydog pastels giving way to siamese shadows of sunshine and gold. Metallics crash together with fervid compassion, meshing and muddling in to a masterpiece of integrated spectrums. A richness accents every reflection. Shades, much darker at the center make him look as if he was dusted by the dreaded red star, but this volatile component quickly fades to effervescent opalescence that bubbles across the leading edge of wing angles. The gradient becomes near translucent, an eclipse across sweeping sails, edges outlined in a dusky manner, like the sparkling night sky. There is a smoldering alloy smoke that swathes various tones of bronze across the back of this well proportioned dragon. Toothy maw, prominent headknobs, and extremely scritchable jowls, eyes swirl with tornado twists of tints, as sunbursts and stars explode across muscular form. Limbs are athletic and large with stained and sculpted talons that curl to a sharp point. His toned physique, is complimented by a rotund belly, and backed by peaked ridges of various sizes. The ridge-line runs like incandescent light, looking oddly like snow-capped mountains, down the length of this dragon. They trail from just behind angled headknobs, all the way to the end of massive, forked tailed.

Egg Name and Description

Boroughcastle Brigadier of Doune Egg

Short, squat, speckled and shiny, this egg's colors sprinkle across shell in swatches. There is something pompous about the way the shades blend and mingle, so much so, it is difficult to detect precisely where one ends and another starts. The first layer is definitely blackish-purple, peaks and valleys dappled with hunter greens and murky brown bases. There are sky blues, accentuated with powderpuff whites, expansive colors portraying vast distances, as if a landscaped terrain makes play of the surface. To the impressionist's eye, one may see the infinite travels that will hatch from within, hidden by the serene scenery found on the exterior. The egg itself is in pristine condition, but the colorations show signs of roads well traveled. The excitement and fanfare displayed would jump right on to the sands if it could, bold, unyielding and cohesive.

Hatching Message

Wobble: What looks to be a rather small egg from the clutch, Boroughcastle Brigadier of Doune, starts to tremble, rocking gently in it's spot, the promise of something explosive to come.
Crack: Boroughcaslte Brigadier of Doune Egg can contain itself no longer! The excitement within shakes and shimmies as the egg rolls forward, it bumps in to another nearby and a hairline fracture shoots across the shell.
Hatch: What seemed like a suiting shell for a small hatchling expands all at once, as if the contents are much to large for the capacity. Egg shards revolt in to a thousand tiny pieces as Boroughcaslte Brigadier of Doune Egg releases the creature from within. The goo covered hatchling that remains looks as though it should have come from an egg at least three times the size.

Colorless Hatchling Name and Description

This is like Arnold-Schwarzenkitty Hatchling

Rugged and jagged, constructs of colors stand straight up from the core as spots of shades dapple this large dragon's hide. The hazy undertones are antiqued, puppydog pastels giving way to siamese shadows. Tints crash together with fervid compassion, meshing and muddling in to a masterpiece of integrated spectrums. A richness accents every reflection. Shades much darker at the core, fade to an eclipse of light opalescence across the leading edge of wing angles. This gradient becomes near translucent across sweeping sails, though the edges seem to be outlined in a dusky sort of manner. There is a smoldering smoke that swathes across the back of this large proportion of dragon. A toothy maw, prominent headknobs, and extremely scritchable jowls, eyes swirl with expressions as sunbursts and stars explode across muscular form. Limbs are athletic and large with stained and sculpted talons that curl to a sharp point. A toned physique for a well sized creature, is complimented by a healthy, rotund belly that is backed by peaked ridges of varied sizes. The peaks are surprisingly light in shade, looking oddly like snowy mountaintops down the length of this hatchling. They flow from just behind angled headknobs, all way down to the end of massive, forked tail. The hearty coating of egg-goo makes other distinguishing factors difficult to see.

Impression Message

« Yes!! It's you! I remember you from when I was inside of there. I knew I'd find you again out here, nothing could keep me away! » A voice seems to call to you through the woodwork, reaching your cerebral cortex. There is an aspect of relief that comes from behind a slight sense of urgency. The connection is overwhelming, the penultimate bond of undeniable purity. Resolute and all encompassing, companionship reverberates in your soul as traces of rainwater, musk and pine tingle olfactory senses. « I thought, when I felt you last, that we'd lost each other forever, but this is intransigent. Tell me you're ready to adventure together? From now on you shall be my S'ic and we will be inseparable! » There is a slight challenge in the tone, but it only precedes the interdependent need, a crooning drawl that rolls like a purr « This place is scary. It gives me the creeps. Could you please take me somewhere safe and help me figure out what that rumbling in my tummy is?? A full stomach sure feels good. »

You have found your eternal voice of reason, as if nothing in Pern could disrupt such clarity and cohesiveness.

Inspiration

Personality (RP Tips)

Personality:

This dragon could be the ray of light that brings everything in Pern together for Seryic, but don't be fooled, the process will be a trying one. As a hatchling this curious guy will give you a run for your.. well, everything! A mile a minute, excited to explore, all about adventures, full of plans and dreams, and questions… so many questions! « Can we go somewhere new soon? When do we get to adventure?? How about the far off lands?? When do I learn to fly?? » Asking about almost everything and quite often.

He is likely to get in to trouble, especially if left alone. You may find he has knocked over a garbage can, stolen someone's food or tracked mud across the Weyr. He will definitely put his nose where it doesn't belong, his keen sense of smell getting him in trouble when he runs amok in a wherrie coop, gets caught begging for food, or has a run-in with some packtail. As this 'lil pup' grows, he will always be a young at heart kind of a bronze, a trooper in tough situations, and always a loyal companion.

A bond with a gregarious dragon like this means he is bound to chat up all the ladies, make friends with other males and schmooze on pretty much all Pernese-folk and other creatures alike. He won't hesitate to ask other people questions either… Courageous and outgoing, fun could be his middle name and he always wants to know /what's next?/ Playful and goofy, somewhat like the Earth equivalent of 'man's best friend' he might fetch, or dig holes, hide things or get excitable around visitors. This dragon likes to the the highlight of the party, which means that you will likely end up involved in on way or another. He could also be very mellow if the situation calls for it, but it is going to take some hard work to figure out how to get to that point.

"Fun-loving, free-spirited, loyal, funny, hungry" are all words that could describe this dragon's personality. You basically have one big puppy-dog on your hands. Good luck young sir! It will take some serious patience and training to keep things on the straight and narrow, but if anyone can do it.. you can!

Growth:

The growth spurts will be awkward, long and lean, to short and stout until full mass of dragon has filled out. There is likely to be a great deal of clumsiness as a hatchling before the suave bronze charmer comes out. He will always be playful and on the go.
