This Is the Part Where You Run Green Tzombeth

Dragon Description

Slim and delicate is the perfect way to describe this pale beauty. Light olive is cast in rich splendor about her length, while strong, delicate muscles are painted a deeper olive which stands in stark contrast against her pale hide. Her bright whirling eyes are encased in a deep forest-green, causing her to look eternally as if she doesn't quite get enough sleep. Dark ichor-green can be found pooling along the back of her neck, seeping down her ridged neck and dripping down her sides as if she were bleeding from some unseen wound. Dull, unsaturated gray flickers across her body, giving her the appearance of freckles of dead skin where the ichor-green droplets can be found. Pale olive turns into chartreuse along the spars of her her wings and her wings are colored in pistachio so pale that it appears to be translucent, and in the right sort of light, it appears to have holes passing through.

Egg Name and Description

Pungently Rotting Egg

Pale gray slowly threatens to turn this egg into something it was not meant to be. What it might have been before it was deposited on the sands is anyone's guess. Bright green ichor seeps from what looks to be a large chip in the side of the egg and slowly drips down the pale gray surface until it pools about the base of the egg. Unhealthy grayish pink flesh reveals itself at the chip and what almost looks like muscle tone can be seen where the chip had been. The whole entirety of the egg emits a sense of death and decay as if the hatchling within is not quite alive. The very surface of the egg itself looks like it might fall apart at the barest of touches and a pungent odor surrounds this egg, almost as if the egg were rotting from the inside out.

Hatching Message

WOBBLE_MESS: A sudden buzzing sound is heard and the candidates below look to each other with raised eyebrows. The light flickers a few times, sending the caverns into momentary darkness and panicked screams can be heard as a couple of candidates group together.

CRACK_MESS: The power abruptly fails and the lights go out, sending the whole of the caverns into darkness. Panicked gasps and screams are heard as a couple of candidates panic. This time the lights don't immediately come back on, leaving the sands shrouded in poor light and not much can be seen. A definitive crunching sound can be heard on the sands but whether it's from shifting feet or something else is entirely unknown.

HATCH_MESS: Darkness settles on the sands and the crunching sound is heard louder as something moves about the sands. Power is abruptly restored, revealing a dragon on the sands that wasn't there before. On closer inspection, the Pungently Rotting Egg is nowhere to be seen and only shards remain flecked about the sands.

Impression Message

One moment you're standing on the sands and the next moment you're in the middle of a misty bog. Water bubbles at the surface of the water and you're greeted with a harsh scent of sulfur that tickles at your nostrils. «R'sian…» A raspy voice flickers across the bog, echoing across your mind with a wispy breeze of yellow. «Yes, that will do. I am Tzombeth, there are many scents out there I wish to experience, but, perhaps we shall get something to eat first. Maybe something that has a bit of flavor to it?»

Mindvoice Name and Description

Pungent Odor of Undeath

The best way to describe Tzombeth's mind is that of a misty bog. Depending on her mood, she'll use scents to color her voice, when she's especially pleased with herself, she'll use a sulfur-like smell. Or when she's annoyed or angry, her voice will take on a more acidic nature. Her favorite colors are usually a yellowish gray that is almost always present. Her voice is husky and raspy, almost like she hasn't used it in a very long time although she'll be able to speak perfectly.

Mind Touches:

MT-1: slowly fills the nostrils with a foul odor that would remind one of rotten eggs long left to decay. It approaches you leisurely, it knows it has all the time in the world and it isn't in a big hurry. Sickly yellows and unhealthy grays reach out and slowly takes in what you have in stock. Oh, it'll certainly have that big of gossip, it's ever so juicy and quite fresh, after all. Oh, how wonderful, you have surplus in memories that you're not using anymore, those get taken and are coveted. Excited giddiness fills you as it pulls pieces and chunks of your memories and hoards it like a starved madman who suddenly has an all-you-can-eat buffet before him. As quickly as it had come, sulfur fills your nostrils and it returns to the bog it had come from. These will hold it off for a while, it knows you'll be back, and it's had a sampling of you now. It'll be hungry later.

MT-2: is no longer patient, what took you so long to return? It has been waiting for you to return with your juicy memories. It rushes forward, bringing with it a sulfurous quality that would remind one of something being left to rot for a very long time. It is impatient to begin, and your mind is the only thing that can satiate the hunger that it has. It no longer seems to care what it takes, everything is on the menu. That important date that you were keeping in the back of your mind? It's a delicious slab of meat. Your most precious memories of your parents? Why, they're as delicious as those warm hot bubblies you enjoy. It doesn't even wait to check out, and quickly retreats into the bog before you can stop it.

MT-3: surrounds you as you come back, it knew you would, and it has been waiting for your return. Sulfur, rotting flesh, and the smell of pure death surrounds you as it entices you forward. It has been waiting for this moment. There's a sale going on, and it's all-you-can-eat. And what else is there to eat other than your precious brain? It attacks without warning, consuming everything and leaving nothing behind. Everything is on the menu and it has an appetite that'll never end. Only when its hunger is satisfied does it leave you, leaving you nothing, as it returns into the darkness that it came from. Braaaaiiinnnnsss.

MT-4: returns with that harsh scent of decay and sulfur and, in that moment, you know it will eat your brains and it's too tired to deal with you again right now.

Inspiration

Char! I'm so glad I got to make a dragon for you :D. I don't know if you guys figured out our theme yet, but it was Movie Remakes. I picked Dawn of the Dead for my egg and it was based off of, you guessed it, a zombie. See, I never watched the original movie, and I thought just a random zombie would be fun to make. As for your dragon, I again went with the zombie theme, although I am very familiar with the remake. Most of the characters didnt have much for personalities during the movie so I kind of picked what I wanted and added to it. But mainly, your dragon is based on a zombie. As for the name, we decided that we would do Tz names for all the dragons in the clutch. I had a hard time picking out a combination that would work out while keeping with the theme. Tzombe is obviously from "zombie" except I removed the I to make Tzombeth. And, with most things, feel free to play her however you wish. This is just a guideline ofr you to use and I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed writing her for you.

Personality (RP Tips)

«Braiiinnns!» Okay, enough with the kidding. I couldn't resist. R'sian, meet your Tzombeth. She's going to make you squirm and very uncomfortable for the rest of your life. She's like that squeaky feeling you get when you get around something that's been left to sit for a while.

From the moment she hatches and invades your mind, you're going to find she's rather unpleasant, but not un-endearing. You see, like you, she's particularly fussy about certain things. She loves food, loves it, but she especially enjoys things that have sitting around for a few days. The smellier the better, in her opinion.«R'sian, darling, that bit of meat you gave me was fantastic, but that piece right there? I can smell it from here and it smells /delicious/…What do you mean it's rotten? I'm sure it's perfectly fine!» Oh, and brains, those are her favorite parts, she'll share every detail with you as she enjoys her favorite delicacy. «R'sian, the texture of this is really quite marvelous, and look at how all the muscles form patterns. Isn't it particularly fascinating? I particularly like the juicy ones.»

Weyrlinghood is going to be a trying time for the both of you as you learn to deal with each other's habits. Baths? What are those? Tzombeth absolutely abhors baths and anything to do with water. You're going to have a hard time to get her anywhere near the water. And no matter what you do, you're never going to be able to get her squeaky clean like most dragons. And, if you do succeed in the rare moment, she's going to go out of her way to find the most smelly pile of stuff that she can and curl up with it. «But R'sian, I just had a bath last sevenday, surely I don't need another one today? I just found a perfectly nice pile of stuff people were throwing out, it had a wonderful smell to it.» She loves stinky things, the smellier the better. And she'll share every detail with you, it's like sampling a fine wine to her. «R'sian, just try sampling this, just /smell/ the different layers that it offers. It's very pleasing to the palette, you're sure I can't have a taste?»

She'll get along with most of the other dragons in your clutch, in fact, she gets along with most people. She'll be especially curious when meeting new people. She'll want to know everything she can about the new person, as gossip and information are juicy tidbits that she absolutely adores. «Did you hear about that new journeyman? I heard she recently had a baby, by a scandalous bluerider!» You'll find that she'll quickly forget everything that she learns about a certain person, so she may ask the same question over and over again.

R'sian, wait until she meets a canine, she's going to want one. And she's going to be rather possessive about it if you ever end up getting her one. She loves canines, from their little paw pads, their fluffy tails, to their warm wet kisses. «But R'sian, just look at it, isn't it completely adorable? I just simply must look after it. We could name it and keep it in our weyr, I promise I'll look after it!»

What might come as a great surprise, is that Tzombeth cares greatly about others, not only you and her clutchmates, but all of her weyr. If one of your best friends is ill or is sad, she'll try to cheer them up the best she can, or simply offer her muzzle to scritch. «R'sian, the weyrlingmaster seems down, perhaps if we make silly expressions at him, he'll crack a smile for once!»

Unlike most greens, she's rather slow on the ground, in fact, she's terribly clumsy. She'll never get the hang of walking around on the ground. It's only when she's in the air that she's free of her awkwardness and while it might take her a while to get fully used to flying, once she gets the hang of it she'll be a natural. She'll be right up there with the fastest of the green dragons, but she'll never do any maneuvers that you're not willing to do. Her first and foremost concern is for you.

Yes, R'sian, you. You are the center of her world, and while she might not be the cleanest dragon of the weyr, you're going to find that she has a special charm about her. She loves you with all her heart, and there's no one she rather be with than with you.

When she becomes an adult, she'll settle down in her ways, but she'll always enjoy her favorite pastime of curling up with something that has an interesting smell to it. Perhaps you could eventually convince her that stuff you think smells good is interesting enough for her to enjoy it.

When she goes up to rise, that is when she takes a turn for the worst. She turns rabid, she'll want nothing to do with any of the males that come around her. She'll snap at anything that gets too close and isn't you. And when she actually rises, you'll have to do everything in your power to stop her from gorging herself and to just feast on blood and not the meat. But don't worry, after the flight she'll turn into her normally cheerful, friendly self again.
