Furry Warrior for Gaia Bronze Tiwazth

Broad and sweeping tones of sepia and copper intersperse with greys, whites, and sable bays. Gentle strokes and spatters spread the tones in the variation of fur, deep but light in places. Each muscle stands out starkly, its movement and flex clearly visible as he shifts. His eyes are set slightly further forward than average, glaring out at those around him, his snout long and squared with a strong jaw. When that canid jaw opens, each tooth is long and jagged, the third from the center on each side of both jaws is even longer than normal, barely nesting together without damaging the jaw. Each movement is precise, but strong. A warrior's motion. His long tail fades more into the grey range, thick and broad until right near the end where it suddenly narrows just before the tailfork. Each neck and back ridge is tall and jagged, only those at the nape of the neck where the rider sits smooth enough to touch. Each one is black as midnight, but the tips bathed in the light of the moons.

Egg Name and Description

Moonless Night Egg

Subtle variations of purple and violet swirl together in deep paroxysm of the depths of night. Blues and blacks join the parade of color at the top of the egg, squiggling in amongst the purples like dark tendrils from above. Angular branches of black crackle across the shell in delicate criss-cross. Thin lines of yellow highlight the black, increasing the juxtaposition between the shade.

Hatching Message

WOBBLE MESSAGE: BOOM! BOOM! BOOOOOM! goes the Moonless Night Egg. Trying so hard to break free of the sandhold that contains it, but there must be some quickset in it, because it doesn't stir.
CRACK MESSAGE: With one last fitful effort, Moonless Night Egg cracks wide. There's not enough light in the mound to see the hatchling, but the mound begins to dwindle as it flows into the egg!
HATCH MESSAGE: Another shudder rips through Moonless Night Egg, the hatchling finally forcing the sides open and dumping the rest of the sand on its head. It's big. It's angry. And it's covered in sand!

Colorless Name and Desc

Ferocious Sand Storm Hatchling

Tall, proud, and angry as a half-fried wherry. This hatchling is bright eyed, but they're whirling red as he tries to dislodge the layers of sand that seem to roil over his body like waves.

Personality

Tiwazth is nothing if not proud. He acts with honor and he expects those around him to do the same. Really, three things drive him: Glory, Honor, and Wisdom. These are the things he seeks, the desires that control his actions, and the things he insists his rider seek and live by as well. He's one of those dragons who will always lament the lack of Thread. He was /born/ to defend Pern from Thread, but there is none. As such, he takes other protective duties to be first and foremost in his mind. More than anything else, he seeks to protect. Protect his Weyr, protect his rider, protect Pern, protect the weak. PROTECT.

When it comes to flights, he is ever polite, though his idea of wooing is to show of his strength, not actually wooing the lady with goods or words, but conquering those around him with his strength. As a father, he is the most devoted, caring for and providing for them and their mother.

Mindvoice

Cry of the Raven

Deep black and sonorous, this mind echoes with power. The voice itself is short. Stark. But it resonates with alacrity. No smell accompanies this mind, nor the flashes of colors normally associated with dragonminds. One the soft rustling of feathers accompanies the sharp, quick voice.

Inspiration

Tiwazth comes from a few things. The theme for this clutch was classic monsters. Tiwazth was inspired by the classic bipedal werewolf, but with a twist. Instead of your classic slavering beast, he came from the adapted, purposed werewolves of White Wolf's Werewolf: the Apocalypse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf:_The_Apocalypse) and, specifically, the Get of Fenris Tribe. His name comes from one of the runes of the elder Futhark: Tiwaz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiwaz_rune). This is the rune of the Norse god Tyr and encompasses within it the concept of justice (the balanced scale), the sword, the spear, the god himself, and his protection.
